blacksburg: the home of my alma mater

As many of you know, I spent the majority of my Thanksgiving break at my alma mater, Virginia Tech. My family and I made the four hour trip down I-81 for the annual rival football game against the University of Virginia.  Driving into the town of Blacksburg immediately brought back a million memories. College was an unforgettable experience that I wish I could re-live over and over again. I attempted to spend my weekend doing just that!

The game on Friday night was freezing… I looked my a marshmallow in my 25 layers but it was SO worth it to see my team win! After thawing out, we spent Saturday walking around town and my college campus. New buildings, restaurants and students can sure make a gal feel old! I drowned my sorrows of the “real world” at the bookstore! Like all good alumni, I probably helped fund a new stadium with the amount of Hokie sweatshirts and gear I purchased.

From Burrus Hall, Duck Pond and Lane Stadium, here is a glimpse of why Blacksburg is the greatest place on earth:
