blacksburg: the home of my alma mater

As many of you know, I spent the majority of my Thanksgiving break at my alma mater, Virginia Tech. My family and I made the four hour trip down I-81 for the annual rival football game against the University of Virginia.  Driving into the town of Blacksburg immediately brought back a million memories. College was an unforgettable experience that I wish I could re-live over and over again. I attempted to spend my weekend doing just that!

The game on Friday night was freezing… I looked my a marshmallow in my 25 layers but it was SO worth it to see my team win! After thawing out, we spent Saturday walking around town and my college campus.¬†New buildings, restaurants and students can sure make a gal feel old! I drowned my sorrows of the “real world” at the bookstore! Like all good alumni, I probably helped fund a new stadium with the amount of Hokie sweatshirts and gear I purchased.

From Burrus Hall, Duck Pond and Lane Stadium, here is a glimpse of why Blacksburg is the greatest place on earth:
