As a bride I loved to surround myself with wedding inspiration (and still do)! You could see me on any given Sunday searching through Pinterest and reading magazines. I adored the planning process. I could swoon over images and envision my wedding details for hours on end….. it was an obsession, I would refresh my browser for the latest Style Me Pretty blog post every 30 minutes! I tore out pages from Southern Weddings, Real Simple, Martha Stewart and Washingtonian Bride & Groom. I’m surprised I didn’t go crazy from overload! Now as a photographer, you can still see my perusing the magazine aisle in the supermarket and checking out blogs on my lunch break.
It is a dream come true to be able to walk into the super market and pick up one of these coveted wedding magazines to find my name in print! SAY WHAT?! Yeah, I know! It’s pretty much the coolest thing ever! You might have to squint and search really hard to find it…. but Megan Chase Photography is there in black and white! (They even spelled my name correctly). The Summer 2014 issue of Washingtonian Bride & Groom has an amazing article about virtual wedding planning. They created a collage of inspiration featuring stunning florals from EightTreeStreet. This bouquet is a home-run and it is no surprise that they chose to feature it.
I didn’t get the cover or a real wedding feature… but we all start somewhere! It is amazing to be able to inspire other brides in their planning process. This past weekend has been such a HUGE encouragement for me! One amazing wine date with my second shooter, two stunning engagement sessions, and this feature! I feel SO lucky to be able to capture weddings! Best job in the world!
